Hi all,

I feel like vision boards have become more and more popular. After watching YouTube videos about them for a while, I decided that I wanted to do my own for 2025 as they are a powerful tool and I feel like they will help me to focus on my aspirations. If you’re ready to manifest your desires and focus on your goals as well, creating a vision board might be the perfect place to start. I am sharing my general vision board that I made in January here, and I also have a more personal one, which goals I am not ready to publicly share yet.

  • Reading (nonfiction): After I finish my Bachelor Degree in July, I want to read one book a month
  • Budgeting: I already have a good relationship with my money, but it can be better. This year, I want to make monthly budgets, and track my expenses to get an even better understanding what my money does.
  • YouTube and Instagram:
    • YouTube: I started a YouTube channel, and the goal would be to post one video a month, and gain followers on YouTube
    • Instagram: I want to grow my instagram account to 100 followers this year (currently at 78). Furthermore, I want to post at least one instagram story per week.
  • Health: I want to loose weight this year. I am trying to do it slowly, but will focus more on it when I am done with my Bachelor Degree in July.
  • Bachelor Degree: I want to graduate with my Bachelor Degree in July 2025, and will be able to do that. I will heavily focus on this, and focus on my other goals later this year, but will already be trying to implement habits that will help me reach most of my goals.
  • Michigan: About 2 trips to travel to Michigan and explore the state more.
  • Workout routine: I want to start doing 30-60 minutes of walking on my walking pad again 4/5 days I am working, preferably when I start working or just throughout it.
  • A while ago I was having self-care Fridays. While this is tricky to do right now with my work schedule (1 – 10 pm), as well as all the college work I have, I want to start doing self care Fridays (or another day) again, as I really enjoyed them.

What is a Vision Board?

A vision board is essentially a visual representation of your dreams and goals. By collecting images, quotes, and symbols that represent what you desire, you create a visual tool to keep your goals top of mind and inspire you to take action toward achieving them.

Whether you’re aiming for personal growth, career success, or a deeper connection to your spirituality, your vision board will serve as a daily reminder of what you’re working toward.

Why?

  • A vision board helps you define your goals more clearly and focus on what truly matters.
  • It keeps you inspired and motivated, especially during tough times.
  • It’s not just about wishful thinking; focusing on and manifesting your goals visually can help align your mindset to take actionable steps.
  • Surrounding yourself with positive images and words can foster optimism and self-belief.

You can go traditional with a physical board, or create a digital version using design tools like Canva or Pinterest.

How to Create Your Vision Board

It was a whole process for me, from watching YouTube videos, to reflecting on what is important to me and what I want to achieve as far as goal setting goes.

  1. Set Intentions: Take a moment to think about what you want to achieve this year. Whether it’s health, career, travel, or personal growth, clarify your goals.
  2. Gather Visuals: Find images, quotes, or words that represent your goals. Choose visuals that make you feel excited and inspired.
  3. Arrange Images: Lay everything out and play around with the arrangement. Make sure it feels balanced and aligns with your intentions.
  4. Assemble and Affirm: As you assemble the images, think about your goals and feel the excitement of already achieving them. This helps bring your vision to life.
  5. Add Personal Touches (optional): Write some words of affirmation or action steps to keep you motivated. These can remind you of your intentions and keep you focused.
  6. Display Vision Board: Put the board in a place where you will see it every day—whether it’s as your phone background, lock screen, in your office, bedroom, or another spot that reminds you of your goals.

What are you envisioning for your future? Have you created a vision board before, or will this be your first time? I’d love to hear about your dreams and how you’re bringing them to life!
